? Can my child take a class just once?
A. The only classes that are available for "one time only" to non registered students are on Wednesday from 4-5:30 PM, these are our Pizza Classes & Holiday classes. Also Birthday Parties, and Dinner and a Movie Nights. All other classes are year long classes. Just like you would sign your kids up for anything else whether it be gymnastics, karate or dance, Our program runs similar to most others. You pay a registration fee which is good for the entire year. You enroll your child in a class and they are in it for the whole season. This is the best way to learn, and to teach. We start with basics and progress through the year, and it is hard to be adding different children all the time. This does not mean you are in a contract, you can quit at anytime, but we highly recommend you continue for the whole year. There will occasionally be a one time only class on Saturdays also for Holiday cooking.
? Do I need to stay with my child, or do I drop them off?
A. You do not need to stay with your child we have enough employees to watch and assist your children. We do not allow parents in the kitchens unless invited. You are welcome to stay the whole class time in the front waiting area, where you can see and hear the classes being held, without being an interruption.
? What does a Parent Chef Helper do?
A. A parent chef helper comes in once a month and assists the teacher in all areas. A dress code is required for all helpers and employees. You will also need to fill out an application to be a parent chef helper. The discount per time you come in to help is $15 off for after school cooking, and $25 off of all preschool and kindergarten classes. You may be able to help more than once a month, depending on the interest of other parents to be involved.
? What is the referral program?
A. If you refer a friend who signs up with us, we will give you $10 off your tuition. If you are not enrolled and refer someone, then we will pay you $10 for everyone who signs up. This is only good once per referral, not ongoing each month.
